2020-2-28 There are many reasons you would need the Minecraft files and save folder location. Maybe you want to backup your save files and your worlds, you might want to install some mods or resource packs or you want to find the screenshots you have been taking of your creations. Below is a description of how to find your Minecraft folder. Find Log Files on Disk. These logs are plain-text files you can find on your Mac’s local disk, too. This means you can browse to them in Finder or via the Terminal, open them in other applications, use command-line tools with them, and back up the files. To find these log files, look in the following locations: System Log Folder: /var/log.

To quit (close) a Mac app normally, choose Quit from the app's menu in the menu bar, or press Command (⌘)-Q. If the app doesn't quit, follow these steps to force the app to quit.
How to force an app to quit
- Press these three keys together: Option, Command, and Esc (Escape). This is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC. Or choose Force Quit from the Apple () menu in the upper-left corner of your screen.
